O Tribunal Regional Eleitoral da Bahia é a segunda instância do poder judiciário no estado, em sua competência eleitoral. Foi estabelecido a partir do Código Eleitoral de 1932, que criou a Justiça Eleitoral, responsável por todo o processo de escolha dos representantes do poder público, desde o alistamento à proclamação dos eleitos. O TRE-BA foi fundado sob a presidência do desembargador Ezequiel Pondé e teve o seu primeiro endereço no bairro do Campo Grande.
